It took us quite some time to take the street car up to the 6000 block of St Charles, then hike over to Magazine, but it was worth the trip (we were able to take the city bus back down Magazine, toward the French Quarter). We were jonesin' for some fake meat and vegan dessert, which are too scarce in this lovely town. I would rather give my money to a local restaurant, so let's let them know we demand to have more options.
Every other Friday they have vegan cooking classes! And they're FREE! =D The fact that they have all sorts of things to make you a happy vegetarian/vegan is also a bonus!
This is largely like any other Whole Foods you have been to. You will find all the usual suspects when it comes to natural food store snacks and beverages, plus a couple vegan deli and bakery items.
Multitude of vegan pastries fresh and packaged. Also vegan sandwich option (freshly made) and sushi rolls. Everything is fresh and healthy!
