Willie's Chicken Shack - New Orleans

I have to confess, we went to the Canal Street location three times in one weekend. We started with Gumbo and Jambalaya for takeout on the first visit, then got more Jambalaya and tried the chicken on the second visit. It was so delicious that we went back later and decided to dine in the restaurant. We were glad we did, as we tried all four sauces and they were all fantastic, but the Special Sauce was especially good with the biscuit. Can you please deliver to Ohio/Indiana daily? The location was always busy, but it was worth the wait. Once we ordered, the food came quickly and was incredibly delicious.

Just had my first taste of fried chicken in the south at Willie’s, guys you rocked my world! I wish everyone could have such a passion for simple ingredients and make tasty food that is perfectly cooked! Shame I have to put up with the likes of KFC at home!! Thanks Willies!!

Chicken tenders so delightful and delicious, the chicken just falls apart and tastes so buttery and chickeny with a light, delicate, non-oily crust. It comes with a sweet savory biscuit that is a beautiful thing I plan to write poetry to: The drink is a frozen mango concoction that lives up to its promise as “the stiffest drink” and is surprisingly light on the palate. Best meal I’ve had in New Orleans and nice on the pocketbook as a little bonus.
