Hokkaido Japanese - New Paltz

Really good Japanese food if they only find the front door. it's like a hidden gem. the dining room is small, especially on a hot summer evening. tuna poke was great.

Excellent sushi place! the fish was extremely fresh, even if we rolled in at 9 o'clock. waiting the personal was greeted and the decor is absolutely wonderful to the details in the bathroom. great outdoor terrace if the weather allowed. would definitely recommend!

I do not know if I would say that it is the best Japanese restaurant in which I ever like other here, but it was very good and service was perfect. highly recommended.

We loved this place! the food was delicious, from the miso suppe and salate to the sushi. the service was also excellent, the waiter and busser were very attentive to fill our waterglasses constantly and see if we needed something and to delete finished items from the table. would be highly recommended as a great place to go for sushi!

I have been on the hunt for excellent sushi in the Hudson Valley. I have certainly tried a few places that I would say are good But Hokkaido is hands down the best. It's truly an authentic taste and feel of Japanese culture and food. The fish was fresh and prepared right in front of me so delicately. The staff was warm and welcoming, and again, every piece of sushi I got was simply delicious. It was impressive that this little gem eluded me for so long, but they have certainly gained a customer for life.
