Avant Garden - New York

I ate here two days ago and found the food to be absolutely exquisite. I had the paella dish and it was an incredibly interesting interpretation of traditional paella. The service was excellent and the ambiance and decor were modern and elegant. This is one of the best vegan restaurants I have tried recently. I’d say the quality of the food definitely qualifies it as fine dining. I ate at a vegetarian restaurant earlier in the day that has received higher acclaim from Michelin and I think this is the better restaurant. I will be back next time I’m in NYC.

Fantastic experience overall. The one suggestion I have is for the waiter to rephrase his suggestion. Instead of 'we recommend ordering two dishes per person ', which sounds pushy, say 'the portions are small '. Or recommend a prefixe menu with a couple of dishes. Other than that, keep up the great work. Look forward to my next visit.

Out of this world food and service. The cremini mushroom toast was the best thing I've ever tasted in my whole life. For real.

Perfect evening! General Mgr Drew did an amazing job at surprising us with a truly splendid 5 course vegan meal along with wine pairings. Unbelievably marvelous job by chef Tony! And I recommend you sit at the bar as we did, so you can see the magic first hand! Highly recommended fantastic service, ambiance and mostly the food was crazy awesome!

I celebrated my birthday here last year and it was an amazing vegan experience ! I know the owners family and because it was my birthday he set up an almost private taste testing experiences at my table ! We had the best service and the plates we ordered were brought out one by one for the table to nibble and experience at our own leisure. Each vegan dish was fresh and delectable And the combinations of ingredients were heavenly and left our palates much to remember. The desserts were rich in chocolate and nuts. The owner even ordered out a special vegan bday cake for me ! I would not hesitate to go back here again for a “ normal”dinner night !
