Blackwell's - New York

The restaurant is closed on Sundays. I don’t know why I was able to make reservations and confirm them. When we showed up it was closed and had to scramble to try to find another place at the last minute!

Very accommodating. Friendly with good service and food.

The service was exceptional; the staff were attentive, polite, and friendly.

We arrived at 1 PM on January 2 for our confirmed reservation, only to find the restaurant closed with no notice on the locked door. To make matters worse, Blackwells was still accepting reservations on OpenTable for that afternoon. One member of our group was a 98-year-old in a wheelchair, who was out to celebrate the New Year with her family. Happy New Year!

The bar and dining area were quite loud, making it hard to hold a conversation without raising our voices. One person in our group ordered the chicken Caesar salad and thought the chicken was a bit too salty. The shepherd's pie was just average.
