Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. - New York

The food was average and poorly presented, appearing as though it was haphazardly thrown into a basket. The service was mediocre. We ordered drinks and were told we could keep the glasses, but when we finished and went to retrieve them, we were informed by a staff member downstairs that they did not have the cocktail shaker that was supposed to come with our order, only the glasses. I have dined at another Bubba Gump's location where the food, atmosphere, and service were all excellent.

I would fly to New York every month just to be around these amazing people if I could afford it! MC, Becky, Brian, and Naya, thank you for providing such a fantastic experience for my husband's 40th birthday and the incredible New Year's Eve event! I also want to thank the other employees whose light and energy filled the room with so much fun and laughter. This particular Bubba Gump location has an exceptional team that I cannot wait to visit again. You all are incredible, thank you once again for such a wonderful time! xoxo For those interested in booking for New Year's Eve, my husband and I started planning in February of 2023. We purchased our Bubba Gump New Year's Eve tickets as soon as they were released (make sure to sign up by email to be notified when sales begin, which I believe was around August/September). Despite the crowded streets, we felt very safe once we passed through security. With the high level of security present and the precautions taken, I believe it was the safest place to be on New Year's Eve. The toughest part was navigating through the crowd to reach the meeting point, where a Bubba Gump employee in a red visor will assist you through security. It's best to give yourself ample time and avoid engaging with the homeless or individuals in character costumes while making your way through the crowd. At the event, we met two couples who were very friendly and we had a great time together. We were able to leave our belongings at a booth without any issues. Throughout the night, there was plenty of food and drinks served by the bar. Bubba's mascot made an appearance to dance, and there were activities such as limbo and a congo line, along with two photo booth areas. Guests were given festive party favors and a goody bag with a shirt, large tumbler, and more. To sum it up, the New Year's Eve event at Bubba Gump was the best party and celebration I have ever attended, and I have no regrets! I would absolutely do it again without hesitation. In my opinion, they could be charging more for such a great deal, but they choose not to. This establishment and its staff are truly a treasure.

The waitress was exceptionally friendly and cheerful. The kitchen protocol could use some updating as the food did not meet expectations. However, the decor, inspired by a forest theme, was lovely. The shop itself was adorable, and I couldn't resist purchasing a couple of t-shirts with movie quotes.

We loved the shrimp hush puppies, crab and shrimp rolls, and bang bang shrimp. We love bubba Gump and visit one wherever we go that has one. Some entrees were great such as the shrimp pasta and fried fish. Drinks were tasty and service and atmosphere are great. We also ordered 2 orders of the crab boil which was almost inedible. Overcooked shrimp and mushy crab, and it was dry because it had no sauce. When seafood is served super hot and without any liquid, it dries out. Mushy shrimp is gross. This seemed to be an issue with how the restaurant routinely prepares this dish, not just the time we ordered it. Maybe it also sat there overcooking while the rest of the meal was being prepared? The master chef should take this item off the menu or fix it. We will never order it again.

Eating was excellent! I got the 20 for $22 and it was excellent. we had 4 people with dinner and everyone was very satisfied. our waiter, tye, was incredible! and I can't say that enough. the prices were nowhere near where I thought it was. it was actually quite reasonable! we all would go back without hesitation. if they want good seafood and delicious drinks, they give this place a shot. they will not be disappointed!
