Mediocre burger at best......Service was good fast, and friendly, environment good as well. but for the price you pay, it's definitely not worth it. Very overpriced for what you get. They charge extra for things like basic toppings and fries that would be standard elsewhere. Yes, I know it's midtown, but for the quality/presentation you can find so much better for the same price elsewhere in the city. Dish didn't resemble the price. Probably won't be back for thosereasons.
The only worthwhile thing about this place is the people-watching view on Lexington Ave or an outdoor table along 62nd St. Like most diners in the neighborhood the prices are ridiculous for the quality of the food. An average-at-best burger ends up costing $20+ ... just go to any nearby steakhouse or bistro for an EXCELLENT burger at or near the same price. Breakfast is more of the same: a standard combo breakfast: eggs, bacon, toast and coffee? That'll be $25,please! The servers are gruff at best and surly at worst.
Was going to have their only veggie burger but when I saw the feta spinach omelette I changed my mind. They are slightly on the pricey side but their portions were big. My friend had the cob salad and couldn't stop talking about how he loved it. Still talked about it 2 days later. He said the dressing was amazing. Nothing extraordinary about my meal except it was huge. The restaurant had an old diner feel and look. Very american and reminiscent of old times.
The burgers were thick and juicy, but not particularly flavorful. The chili burger was bland and dry. Hard to be happy spending $90 for 5 burgers and water.
