Cheeky Sandwiches - New York

A taste of New Orleans in NYC! I tried the fried chicken sandwich nestled in a buttermilk biscuit, which was beautifully golden and had a lovely sheen. The server even slipped a complimentary mini beignet into my pocket! Yay! I can’t wait to come back and try more of their offerings. There are so many delicious options to choose from here, but this one is definitely worth a try.

The food was tasty, and the portion sizes were average. The prices seemed reasonable for this area of NYC. I ordered the shrimp sandwich, which appeared to be prepared to order. It had a lot of flavors, particularly thanks to the sauces used. However, I don't think I would be interested in trying the other sandwiches on the menu.

Finding the place took a little time because there was no sign or banner, and the entrance looked a bit rundown with a broken window and some bright colors. It definitely needed some sprucing up, but it was worth it. The atmosphere inside was casual and relaxed, with great music, colorful wall murals, and a friendly staff. We ordered two sandwiches: the "bark" and a "grass" sandwich with goat cheese, which cost us a total of $17. Both sandwiches were freshly made and tasted fantastic, but the "bark" was simply amazing! We were also treated to a complimentary sweet snack that resembled a donut. We ate at the only table they had, but there was also seating at the bar. The staff was very nice and polite. Overall, I can wholeheartedly recommend this place. The food is great, and the atmosphere is wonderful!

This spot is well worth the walk. This fried chicken sandwich is from the GODS . Janelle and Dean are amazing. Everything is made fresh. I can't wait to go back.
