For our entrees, we chose the Rigatoni Ragu, penne vodka, and a fish dish. The rigatoni was a classic with meatballs and sausage, and the sauce was well done. One of my dining companions enjoyed the penne vodka, but the other did not care for the fish, finding it average. The restaurant was quite busy, and reservations are recommended to secure a table. The service was a bit stretched thin with too many tables and not enough wait staff and kitchen staff. As a result, some of our food arrived late. However, the host graciously offered us a complimentary dessert to make up for the delays. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but be sure to make reservations and plan for a leisurely two-hour dinner to allow for any delays in service.
I recently dined at a fantastic restaurant on 2nd Ave. I went for brunch and started with the beet salad followed by the ragu pasta. The service was excellent, with a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were knowledgeable and made me feel at home. Although I was already satisfied with my meal, I decided to treat myself to dessert as the coffee was brewing. I ordered the chocolate cake with fresh fruit and a scoop of homemade ice cream, and it did not disappoint. I am already excited for my next visit to this casual and delicious gem of a restaurant.
This no-frills Italian restaurant only accepts cash. It has a cozy, homey atmosphere and serves classic pasta dishes. The food was tasty and the portions were generous, although not particularly innovative. Prices were a bit higher than expected. I may not return, but I'm happy I tried it. The rigatoni with ragu was well-prepared but nothing extraordinary. The meat was well-seasoned and plentiful. The orecchiette with broccoli rabe and sausage tasted like a delicious home-cooked meal. It paired well with the ragu, providing a fresh contrast to its richness. I enjoyed the subtle garlic flavor and the abundance of veggies.
We had a great time at the terrace. The service is kind and they brought some water for our dog. Dishes are quite big. We only order one for each and a dessert. Would highly recommend the gnocchi with stracciatella and tomato
Make a reservation and bring cash. They have an ATM inside. Wonderful experience with a great server. I felt so cozy and felt like I was having a family dinner. Order the bruschetta as an appetizer, it was perfect. I wasn?t thrilled by my penne vodka, didn?t have much flavor and wasn?t piping hot. My friends had the ravioli and that was delicious. I would love to come back and try something else or try one of Franks other restaurants.
