A large group arrived shortly after us, which affected the service quality. While the onion soup and meatballs were enjoyable, the two salads didn't appeal to us at all. Overall, it was quite a disappointing experience.
However, the food and service left much to be desired. Two of us ordered coffee, but it arrived lukewarm. When we asked the waitress to heat it up, it took about 10 minutes for her to return, and she brought back a metal pitcher with more lukewarm coffee. My mom requested half and half instead of milk, which also took another 10 minutes to arrive. By the time it came, the coffee (which was enjoyable in flavor) was cold rather than lukewarm. At the end of the meal, my husband decided to order another cup of coffee, while my mom asked for a refill. Unfortunately, it was still not hot, and to our surprise, they charged us for the refill! As for the food, I had the goat cheese and asparagus omelet, which was a bit bland but acceptable. However, it was served with a piece of cold, dry, toasted white bread. I expected something more appealing from a restaurant of this caliber. A little butter on the side or at least on the table would have been nice, but I had to ask for butter, and by the time it arrived, I no longer wanted the cold toast. My mom’s beet salad and my husband’s tuna tartare were decent, but nothing extraordinary. Given the prices, we left feeling quite disappointed. If you visit, I recommend sticking to the cocktails and enjoying the view.
Fantastic restaurant situated in an amazing location! Would highly recommend for group all romantic evenings including business and pleasure. Close to the freedom tower with lovely water views!
The location of the restaurant is fantastic. We sat outside and enjoyed a wonderful view. However, the food and service were just average. I ordered a $15 Bloody Mary, which was mostly just tomato juice and quite disappointing. The eggs Benedict were good, though. I requested the hollandaise sauce on the side, which they provided, but they didn't think to ask if I wanted the salad dressing on the side as well — that would have been a nice touch. Overall, the service was rather careless. It took at least 15 minutes for my husband's coffee to arrive, and we only learned they offered sparkling water when a waiter asked the table next to us for their preference. I'd recommend going for the view.
We were excited to dine out but were let down by the loud music in the restaurant. A large group arrived after us, which affected the service negatively. The vegetable soup and meatballs were good, but the two salads were unremarkable. Overall, we left feeling quite disappointed.
