Urban Vegan - Newark

Today we had a feast in Brick City Vegan!! Previously known as Urban Vegan, this Newark-based fast-call restaurant recently renamed with a new name and updated menu. They have a variety of burgers, including a homemade Kichererbsenburger and homemade black eyebohnenburger beside meat. They also offer bowls with unique ingredients that you do not get anywhere like bbq pulled oats, brewed black eyebrows and black rice. All we had was super delicious, fresh and made with clean ingredients. A bowl of chickpeas, black rice, quinoa and vegetables (probably my favorite thing), a black eyebsenburger, a Californian burger with a pasty meat patty in it, cookies, salad and a chocolate chip cookie. I also had a beautiful Hibiscus tea and Chris had a banana Strawberry smoothie. The staff was gracious and we really enjoyed our visit. So happy to have this place in downtown Newark!

I was thrilled to find a vegan restaurant in Newark next to the dishes. The food was very good in the Fast Food Vene. I want to see some more healthy, soul food options besides black eye bears. A beautiful salad would be a welcome supplement. The staff was very friendly. I'm back.

The pulled BBQ biscuit is absolutely incredible! Chicken sandwich is just a perfect easy lunch, tons of flavor and the consistency of the vegan chicken is some of the best I've had. And their Cole slaw. Man...I could eat BUCKETS! And I'm picky with cole slaw and there's is some of the best!
