Other than the manager, who was obviously trying their best to sort everything out, the remainder of the staff came across clueless. They had also run out of a number of drinks. I hear the chicken poppers are good though, when they arrive.
We were looking for somewhere to have a drink before heading back to hotel for dinner but we were made so welcome at the Fox by barman Benji that we decided to stayed for food and more drinks and we weren't disappointed Benji is a credit to this place and we look forward to visiting again next time we're in London
We arrived early one evening and ordered the nachos, chicken wings and 2 pizzas and fish and chips and although there were about 6 or 7 other tables occupied the food came out fairly quickly we all cleared our plates. My piece of fish could have been a bit bigger but was fine.
Unacceptable behavior while when we went we were among the first customers, the dishes went earlier to customers after us. after nodding to the manager he informed us that our food will arrive in 2 minutes. and yes, in 2 minutes our order was delivered to the next table. I had to say what was going on, otherwise the waiter and the manager wouldn't have understood anything. the waiter said i will see and let you know. he did not give any signs and continued to pass orders from customers. the next time I drove and asked him, he told me that your order is being prepared from scratch. and the manager, when he brought the order, tells me what to do. After all, after this bad experience, the food left me much worse. tragic! the manager and the waiter would do well to change jobs.
What a terrible and dangerous place. Once seated we should have realised, eventually, someone come to take our order, and another two parties arrived at other tables, we waited and waited for our order while the two later tables were now eating. Yet another reminder to the staff and the meals appeared. Cold steak and fries and a similar lasagne. Staff seemed amazed that we thought that was wrong, Eventually a bill for two cokes was presented for £8.00 despite .te now us not having enough time to eat before our show. More frighteningly the rear fire exit was locked with a padlock and chain!
