Ye Olde Murenger House - Newport

I had lunch before a history talk at this restaurant. The food was freshly prepared and delicious, but I wish there were more options on the menu.

The restaurant is located in a charming historic building with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming and the Organic lager is particularly good. I have been coming here for 40 years and it always maintains its excellent quality. The old photos of the County and the Black and Ambers add a wonderful touch to the ambiance.

Today, a significant number of female feminists were refused entry to this pub solely because of their gender and beliefs. This discrimination is completely unjustifiable in the modern world. It is concerning that many of these women are lesbians, leading me to question if their sexual orientation was a factor in their denial. If this was indeed the case, it would constitute a hate crime and a violation of the equality act.

I couldn't find any information about this historic Inn dated 1533 on line and thought it must be shut. I was delighted to find it open on a recent trip to Newport. We had a tea and coffee there as we had already eaten but they have a lovely food menu there too. Unfortunately the menu can't be downloaded on this site because the photo is too large!
