Wendy's - Newport News

I went to the dining room to place an order and waited for an order for more than 15 minutes all eight employees saw me waiting and when I asked the manager when she could take my order, she came with a snoring note that they only pay a commission at a time and when they finished packing the food for the previous customer, then she will take my order I will never be treated to pay back to them as a company

The inside dining was spacious and clean. I would have given 5 stars, but it appeared the manager (very friendly) and 2 other coworkers were doing all of the work while 4 others just stood around. Made for a longer wait.

I walked inside and was informed that they were not taking orders inside. When I asked for a manager and the young lady that came up was rude and said that were not taking orders inside. She claims they were short staffed. There were lots of employees in there. Most of them were just standing around doing nothing. If you can walk up there and tell me you are not taking orders, then you can take my order. They obviously had taken other people's orders because people were inside eating. Poor management and I think they just didn't want to work.

Card only no cash because they are slack. When you walk in you will feel likes its dirty. Staff was nice and in no way contributed to the Ok rating. I had a great conversation with a retired professor of philosophy from CNU while eating is the only reason they got the 3 stars, would of been 2. With all the options I won't be back to that one. Again my issue in no way was the staff more towards an owner that would let it look like that and card only no cash. If the cash thing is covid related I have already touched mine and they were not masked and I'm sure if I dropped a 20 on the floor none of them would have a problem picking it up and putting it in their pocket.

I would like to take the time out to thank this Wendy's location for making sure you all give out good customer service ..you all were fast ..the food was fresh and hot ...the night shift had a great attitude and was very Friendly and pleasant..the total opposite of the Wendy's at 15492 Warwick Blvd...
