We ordered lamb biryani, seafood platter, and Arya Sini Soor. Lamb biryani: 6/10 Seafood platter: 6/10 (they should call this rice platter with some seafood) Arya Sini Soor: 10/10
This restaurant caught my attention because of its name. Since I’m a fan of the original series Game of Thrones, who doesn’t want to try a restaurant named after Arya Stark of Game of Thrones right? After watching a movie, we decided to have an early dinner, I still remember that we almost have the whole place because no one is eating that time –it’s still early for dinner. We ordered the following: ARYA SALAD – For starters, we tried the Salad house –since it’s my first time eating Persian food and I really don’t know what to expect, I just made my first perfect bite complete with all the ingredients in it. I can say that it has a different taste that stand out from the other salad that I’ve ever tasted. And of course, we will not waste our chance to try their Famous kebabs. We decided to choose a combination of Lamb and Beef, and I can say that I really don’t like the lamb even if it taste good in here. I don’t want the after taste after I swallow the food. Overall, I can say that my expectation was met, I would like to come back to try the other food on their menus, staff is courteous although I can’t say that they are easy to approach because after he delivers the food on our table, he’s nowhere to be found, maybe they are lack of staff that he have to help in the kitchen. We just saw him again after we demand for our bill. Moreover, we decided not to get any dessert because of this and decided to eat somewhere else. more on this on my food blog: icaptureandeat
This is our Persian resto go to place. They have the best garlic yogurt perfect for their kebabs, basmati rice and even their yogurt smoothies are the best!
My sister and I went to Shangri-La after a youth congress to try a different cuisine that will satisfy our taste buds and tummies and there we found this Mediterranean cuisine. We enjoyed their authentic mouthwatering foods such as sembuseh, koobideh platter and pita bread. This place was kinda small but was definitely fancy looking with nice interiors and tapestries. Servers were attentive and very accommodating. Expensive than other more popular kebab restaurants but overall its really good because they serve with quality and value for money
Arya is a beautifully decorated Persian Restaurant in Shangri La Plaza. We tried the Lamb Biryani (Php 663), Mourgh Tanoori (Php 392) with Pita Bread and Strawberry Yoghurt Smoothie (Php 129). The Biryani rice was fragrant with Persian spices and tasted heavenly. The lamb was extremely tender and served in a spicy and tangy gravy. The mourgh chicken tanoori was good too. Though priced slightly on the higher side, the taste absolutely makes up for it! Service was ok and loved that even their plates were Persian themed.
