They might be more popular for their pastries and baked goods, which are pretty on the palate and on the eyes, but the restaurant 's dishes really fall flat for me. It seems to be somewhat trying hard to come off as chic and European, but the quality of the food isn 't that stellar especially for the prices that they command. The salads are often drowning in oil and the pastas are very simple and lack taste. However, if desserts and tea and coffee are your thing (they aren 't for me) then this place will be good for you especially when catching up with girlfriends in the afternoon.
The French are known for their light yet filling desserts and dishes that are easy on the eyes, scrumptious in smell, and delightful in taste. When it comes to authentic Parisian cuisine in the metro, Bizu Patisserie and Cafe may just be one of the first places to bring the familiar flavors of France to meet the welcoming taste buds of the common Filipino. From breakfast, brunch, lunch to afternoon tea, Bizu's got something that you may most likely fancy. Some of my Bizu favorites are their Grilled Vegetable Sandwich, Chicken Cordon Bleu and their Molten Chocolate Souffle Cake served with Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream for dessert. For brunch or afternoon tea, I like to have the Grilled Vegetable Sandwich not only because it sounds healthy, but because it doesn't taste healthy! The way the veggies are lightly marinated and grilled gives off that smoky flavor I love.Mixed in with caramelized onions and pesto sauce, it's a mini party in my mouth! Served savory with some melted feta cheese and paired with a cup of hot Moroccan Mint tea, you've got a guiltless meal worthy of every bite and sip! For lunch, it's so automatic for me to order their Chicken Cordon Bleu simply because generally speaking I love Chicken Cordon Bleu. It may look so plain but the ingredients Bizu uses for this dish are pretty special because they use smoked ham and mozzarella cheese. Served with Wild Mushroom Carbonara, it's a pretty heavy meal -but definitely tasty and is able to fill in those empty corners of your heavy heart! Simply and familiar French comfort food at its finest. As for my choice of happy endings, at Bizu it's their Molten Chocolate Souffle Cake served with Chocolate Sauce and Vanilla Ice Cream -no doubt about it. I extremely enjoy the fact that eating this is so experiential. Have it all or share it with a special someone, just make sure that you'll try this at least once. It's a revelation to anyone's sweet tooth! Enjoy your first or next trip to Bizu and have a taste of France in every bite!
Bizu never seems to disappoint me. I've tried going there for brunch, lunch, merienda and dinner, and they always make me happy. What I love the most about Bizu is that though they may seem a bit pricier than the usual cafe, their dishes are generous in both size and flavor. My favorite dish is their 10-hour slow roasted beef belly. Yummmm! It sounds deadly.. and it is actually very filling, but it's so soft, tender and tasty. (I highly recommend sharing this with someone since it can get a bit overwhelming). I also love their wide variety of macarons and I believe that they still have the best ones in the metro. But in spite of all their flavors, I always go back to their Madagascar Vanilla. Have their macarons with a nice cup of their Lavazza coffee and you'll have a great day for sure!
I love brunch. It 's like the perfect meal as I can never bring myself to eat too much first thing in the morning. I also love eating breakfast at all times of the day, so brunch is the perfect meal for me. With that being said, I love going to Bizu for brunch with friends! It has simple and foolproof items perfect for every brunch craving. Their eggs benedict are a must! What I love most is the ambiance that this place gives off. As soon as you walk in, you immediately get that French café vibe that is perfect for afternoon cups of coffee and dessert. Their desserts are also pretty divine, which is big coming from a non-sweet tooth like me. Although the menu is a little bit too pricey for what you get, I find myself going here quite often as it 's easy and a no brainer. Other items such as their Eggs Florentine and their salads are a few of my other favorites.
