The modern twist is an important factor for me when dining in Filipino cuisine restaurants as that is what distinguishes between what we can cook at home and the experience of dining at a restaurant.
The dishes here are superb!!! Crab Bisque – definitely a must-have if you're not allergic to crustaceans. it is so full of flavour! Char-Grilled Salmon Salad – salmon was cooked perfectly and the salad greens were crisp. Clam Pasta – even though I already had the bisque and the salad, I didn't feel that full after consuming this plate of delicious pasta. Quesong Puti Cheesecake – could use more cheese (or my friend and I just love cheese too much? . Warm Chocolate Tart – perhaps an a la mode option for this? tasted pretty nice. You'll see Chef Bruce walking around, and he'll accommodate you if you request for a photo op with him. Good service staff. I love this place.
I've been a big fan of Chef Bruce Lim and have been wanting to go to his new resto on Arnaiz Ave for a while. Finally got a chance this evening taking advantage of the night traffic on a holiday. The interiors give a spacious and relaxing feel. Unfortunately, we could not do much justice to the food selection since we were just 2 and not super hungry! For drinks, we ordered the NYC Milkshake and a cocktail called Ganymede. The Milkshake was really yummy like drinking a rich cheesecake. Ganymede was interesting a mix of whisky and amaretto. We started with Beef Tacos which was quite good. The tacos were crispy and the taste of salsa fresca and salsa roja with guacamole was good. We then shared the Beef Pot Pie. This dish was ok. The beef was tender. The brown gravy woth mushrooms was just ordinary tasting. As always, Chef Bruce makes amazing desserts and the Warm Chocolate Tart we had was awesome! Divine chocolate! Cannot wait to visit again with a fuller appetite!
Eating our everyday food could be boring sometimes that's why it really feels good when I was able to try The Boss—Chef Bruce Lim’s Filipino comfort foods with a twist through his Rustique Kitchen. Not only I was able to witness his awesome culinary expertise but learned a great deal about how I could create a spin on my recipes. u Check out on this post how it is too comfortable to dine with this recently opened Rustique Kitchen, once known as the French Le Regalade in Makati City. more on solrazo.com/
