Excellent eating to great trips, plus really friendly and helpful service. high points were the fried ducks; the turtle; and the hanger steak. everything just cooked. all have been boiled fantastic. for a narrow country who was hoping for a taste of French bistros, this was perfect.
Loved this place. Small menu but something for everyone. Great value beautiful food and wine. Loads of fun with owner and my rubbish french. the gambas were delish but everything was great.
We were warmly greeted by Marie and her team. Fortunately, we arrived shortly after they opened. In just a few minutes the place was full. The patrons were all French except for us. That's another way of saying this is where the locals eat! Everything...we had was delicious. Only negative was the time it took to get our food.... at least 30 minutes. But, as mentioned, they were super busy.
Returned to this restaurant after pleasant memories of last year. Made to feel very welcome by the staff who remembered us from our previous visit. We used it as both a restaurant and a bar over three days and were treated to good food within a friendly convivial atmosphere. The real stars here are the staff, who cannot do enough to help, like taking time out to explain the menu (me not speaking French). They did this with all the British guests we observed. The only down side was it wasn't open on our final night in Nimes.
