Honestly, it might be one of the best bubble teas I've ever had, and I consider myself a bit of a Boba connoisseur. We ordered four seared Bao—two with pork and two with beef—and a large bowl of vegetable soup. The two Bao buns were priced at $7.25, and the large soup cost $14. We shared everything between us. While we generally prefer the lighter, less greasy flavors of Southeast Asian cuisine, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal, especially if you lean toward the heartier Northern Chinese dishes. The Bao buns were thick yet light enough not to overwhelm, and we favoured the pork, enhanced by a delicious spicy chili sauce for dipping. We opted for the mild version of the soup—mild enough to retain some spiciness. It ended up being slightly too spicy for my wife, who added soy sauce to tone it down, but I personally found it delightful. The snow peas were a standout ingredient in the soup. We would love to return to any of the Steam Boys locations! The recommendation we received was definitely worthwhile, and now we’re passing it on to you! **Vegetarian options:** Plenty of veggie and tofu choices **Parking:** Available behind the restaurant **Service:** Dine-in **Meal type:** Dinner **Price per person:** $10–20 **Food:** 5/5 **Service:** 5/5 **Atmosphere:** 5/5 **Recommended dishes:** Seared Pork Bao **Vegetarian recommendation:** Highly recommend for vegetarians due to the large selection **Parking:** Free parking lot with ample space
Dunia, in particular, is one of the most sarcastic and unprofessional staff members I've encountered. From misplacing my order a few months ago and addressing it in a rude manner, to today when she denied me a discount that the owner had previously offered, even laughing when I requested my receipt—these experiences have soured my visits. I understand that staffing can be challenging in the restaurant industry, but having unfriendly employees who make customers feel like an inconvenience will ultimately hurt the business. There's another Steamboys at Harding Place, maybe 15 minutes from this one, if you want to enjoy the whole experience visit there. The food is spectacular at the Burkett common location, the kitchen staff make delicious food. The wait staff and lady manager are rude and antagonistic. I have to double check they got my order right now because they get it wrong so often. They get upset at you for trying to make sure it's right. I really wonder if they get it wrong on purpose sometimes because you have to be sure they know what you are trying to order. Its worse if you have to have it corrected. Not to mention the times I'll be waiting to make my order while they talk and ignore me (even the manager has done this). It's worth the extra drive, just trust me. Today was my first time at Steam Boys for a snack in between meals. Wow, what an amazing bubble drink. If you're looking for a great place for lunch or a snack in between meals, try Steam Boys Nolensville just north of town. It's worth the drive from Nashville or Brentwood. I'll be back. Friendly staff too. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
