Yakitori Takumi - North Adelaide

Absolutely enjoyed the simplicity of the fresh ingredients, grilled and light seasoning can't quite pin point what the mixed was salt, pepper and ?? but just had a touch of lightness overall were delicious. Tofu, squid, pork belly, smoked duck would love to give it a lighting quick grill a go to enhance the favour instead , checken wing was so perfect. Can't help to try the desert, but I was overly full to finish it off very rich chocolate lava cake yet not overly sweet. Sharing the joy and food with strangers made it so much more enjoyable too. Staff was marvellous. Thank you for my very satisfied taste buds and worth the visit.

Currently half way through my meal and I am having the best time ever! Service is personal and impeccable. Food is absolutely beyond expectation which was already high. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience

Love this place! The food is amazing, I recommend trying the tempura mushrooms, the green tea salt which they use is fantastic. They also have an extensive Sake menu which is a nice treat on a Friday night. It’s a small intimate dining space with a few booths so It can be hard to get bigger bookings, I recommend booking a week in advance at least.

Yakitori Takumi is an excellent Japanese restaurant with impeccable service and delicious food. The whole experience was top notch and friendly staff made for a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The recommended sake was awesome and added to the overall experience. Highly recommend!

A Japanese Izakaya located in North Adelaide. It feels like a chilled Japanese bbq skewers Eatery and bar. The food is ok. I would say very average, which I have no problem with. The price here is about $100 per person with a few skewers and drinks. We ordered 2 rounds, after the first round. We found that the dishes' sizes are very small, and some of them were also a bit dry. Therefore we have to order another round of food and drinks. However, it still seems not enough. We may order more. But, we did not bother to order more, as the food is not worth another wait. This place is clearly overpriced. We have no problem with the price, we do not mind if it is even more, as long as the food and experience are worth. To be fair, there is nothing wrong with this place. The only thing is the mismatch between their price and what they can deliver. The rating is for this strong mismatch. It is not just about 25 to 50% overpriced. In our experience there, it feels like at least 100% overpriced for the food and environment. I am not sure how many other customers have a similar feeling but did not mention it. There are few other reviews with a similar idea. However, the owner always just fights back and says all the customers know nothing about yakitori izakaya............ Although some are very experienced reviewers and have been to many restaurants. I think it is time for them to also start listening to the feedback instead of just fighting back to every non 5 stars reviews. Think about how to improve, so it is worth your price. Presentation, ingredients, cooking method.......there are so many things that can be improved. Instead of simply believing in yourself and everyone else who thinks it is not worth is simply a fool.
