Arugula Fresh - North Bay

While en-route from Sudbury Ontario to Ottawa we stopped in North Bay for lunch and came upon this inviting location and restaurant called Arugula. I usually judge the appeal of a eating facility by the number of vehicles parked and volume of people it attracts!I am not a great pizza lover but my wife is and as this was a brief stop for lunch I decided to try their interesting looking pizza preparation ovens. To my surprise and my wife's delight this was the best pizza I have every had. I made the comment that if I could get this pizza in my home town or any where else in the greater Vancouver area I would become a pizza lover as well!!

Reviews can be tricky. We sat outside on the patio, had a bottle of red wine and ordered 2 pizzas. The pesto and the cabrese. The pesto is extremely rich and needs to be shared by 2-4 people. The pizza was great and the service from the minute we hit the door was great to one of the cooks on the way out saying have a good night. This place is worth stopping in to.

This is my second dining experience at Arugula Fresh. Their curated menu of pizza is outstanding. I encourage you to try the "Arugula" signature selections from the pizza, to the salad with friend goat cheese balls. Last but not least, my ultimate favourite are the Won Ton Nachos! How do I get them delivered! The service staff are fast, friendly and attentive. I suggest dining on the screened porch to enjoy the lush scenery. Drink menu is fun and expansive! Cheers!

We went for lunch, and the experience was sub-standard. The tables were very crowded, and our waiter had to do a fancy dance to get to everyone. Possibly why said waiter seemed to be absent through a lot of the dining experience. The food was lackluster, I did not enjoy the pizza at all. Will probably not return

Had dinner with a group of friends - Funghi pizza - good tasting, but only most basic white mushrooms on pizza. Found a hair in my pizza and this was rectified in a suitable manner. Gelato was excellent. For a restaurant that was not busy, service was very slow and the waitress rarely came to our table. Water glasses were never refilled once in the two and a half hours we were there. In the 2.5 hours we were there our waitress stopped at our table a total of 3 times and it was easily a 1/2 hour wait before she approached us to see if we were ready to order. A friend ordered a sandwich without cheese, and it was served with cheese. Would not be quick to revisit.
