Average Joe's - North Bay

Our honeymoon journey came to a delightful close with a memorable dining experience at Average Joe's. This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way, giving us an incredible meal that we'll cherish forever. From the moment we walked in, the staff provided exceptional service, making us feel like cherished guests. The service was exceptional, and they went above and beyond to make our last meal on our honeymoon truly special. They surprised us with a treat for our honeymoon and even celebrated with us, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We truly value their kindness and the personal touch they added to our dining experience. The flavors and presentation of each dish were impeccable, (we loved the spices they used) leaving us craving more with every bite. The attention to detail and the warm hospitality truly made this dining experience special. We can't thank everyone at Average Joe's enough for adding the perfect finishing touch to our honeymoon. It's a place we'll remember fondly and can't wait to visit again!

The food was utterly terrible. The chicken tacos were topped with chopped tomatoes and other wet ingredients, which made the chicken and taco shell soggy, with watery juice spilling out with every bite. I can't understand why anyone would put wet toppings on a taco. I tried the fries as poutine, but they were swimming in gravy, which was so salty that my tongue went numb an hour later. The kids' chicken fingers, fries, and my partner's fish were all fried in the same oil, so the chicken fingers and fries ended up tasting like fish. To make matters worse, the menu listed the kids' meal at $10, but we were charged $15. Our waitress was difficult about our group of seven, even though the restaurant was empty and they only allow six at a table. The kitchen staff clearly lacks basic cooking skills, and the prices they charge for such awful food are outrageous.

Average Joe's is just that, AVERAGE! The food was MEDIOCRE at best. But it was not worth the outrageous price. Overpriced is the understatement of the year. When pulling up to the restaurant, I thought it was a garage. Not worth a repeat. There is nothing special about the menu's a typical greasy spoon. I could not recommend anything on the menu. But will say that the thimble size coleslaw was a joke.Parking: Was a long way from the restaurant.

Average Joe's is not your Average restaurant! The food was astronomically great ? the patio overlooks the marina and beach and lake. The staff was friendly, did I mention the coconut shrimp in the app menu that were awesome ?

The food lacked freshness and overall tasted stale, except for the biscuits, which were fantastic. The fish and chips and pickerel were disappointing and definitely didn’t taste fresh. Given the quality, I would have expected significantly lower prices; paying around $40 per plate for such mediocre food is outrageous. Although the portions were generous, it doesn't really matter if the food isn't good. On the positive side, the staff were friendly and efficient, but there was only one bathroom available for the entire restaurant.
