Good size portions, especially scampi and chips! Pleasant staff. Recently visited The Mermaid Fish n’ Chip shop in Horncastle, which used to have a good reputation. But that one has nothing on TGBR in Metheringham. .

I stopped by this restaurant on my way to visit family, and I was impressed by the polite staff who were knowledgeable about the menu. They offered a variety of options that could accommodate our preferences. I ordered fish and chips with curry sauce, which was delicious. The food was warm and flavorful. I will definitely be coming back here again.

We often order from this place, but we also like Sunny's and Kelly's Catch. Despite what others may say, this chippy is excellent with great service and incredibly fresh fish. We would say it's just as good as Sunny's, which is also fantastic.

This is my second visit in as many weeks and my food was only just warm. This has been noted in other reviews but the owner can’t be reading them. Avoid and try the other fish and chip shops in the village.
