Haringey is rather a barren borough for vegans so it was nice to come across vegan food. New River Studios has been created in an old furniture factory in Eade Road, near the junction with Seven Sisters Road. It provides music and artists' studios and rehearsal and performance spaces. The cafe is at the front, a light and airy open space. It opened a month ago and the kitchen is not fully functional. However I had a very tasty courgette tart and a chocolate cookie, both clearly labelled as vegan. The cafe has a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Free wifi is available.
We recently moved to the area and discovered this hidden gem. Honestly, in my eight years living in London, this is the best bar I've ever encountered. It reminds me of the places I used to hang out at while I was a university student in Melbourne. They have a fantastic selection of craft beers, play excellent music including live performances, and serve really delicious pizza. I'm not usually a big fan of pizza, but the pizza here takes me straight to Southern Italy. Off the top of my head, I would say they offer around 3-4 vegan options and 3-4 vegetarian options. The funghi pizza is my favorite! I highly recommend this unique place. It's perfect for hanging out with friends in the summer, as they have outdoor seating.
New River Studios is a prominent venue for experimental and underground music in London, featuring a vegetarian and vegan kitchen, with occasional non-vegetarian events. Every day from 6 PM to 10 PM, they serve some of the best vegan and vegetarian pizzas in the city, crafted with fresh ingredients, homemade dough, and in-house vegan cheese. The pizzas are delightful, boasting thin, crispy crusts, rich tomato sauce, and fresh toppings. The prices are remarkably low, making it hard to find better value for freshly cooked pizza anywhere in London. During the day, the bar offers a range of cold and reheated snacks and meals, including pasties, calzones (also made on-site), vegan cakes, and cookies. Additionally, the bar has a selection of vegetarian beers and serves teas and fresh coffee, including non-dairy options.
The pizza here is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. The place often has great music playing and a friendly crowd, including plenty of people with pets.
