The Ube bung is nothing like the fresh one I had from Hawaii, but they are still quite delicious. The Hopia (Baboy), OMG. I took a bite and thought, "Wow." My fiancé loves that too. The store itself is 56 miles from where I am in so for now, I will only experience Sugar Joy Bakehouse from Asian Food Market.
I ordered cakes for all my daughter's birthday cakes (except my 2nd, I will eventually) and still wonder how perfectly made my custom cakes and good in it. Then I heard that she opened her own bakery shop, I couldn't expect to see and taste all her bakery. When she opened her shop, my family and I passed. The Spanish bread is to die, it is very light and very soft and its very tasty, unlike the store the Spanish bread they sell is either dry or too sweet. The Pandan de ube is my 2nd favorite, it is light n soft and the filling is too creamy and sweet, And there is the pandesal, oh my it feels like I was back home as it was made, fresh out of the oven and very soft.
Beautiful cakes and breads, but their chickens filled steam rolls are to die!
The place is clean, the cakes look great and the cup cakes taste amazing. I also bought some Philipino bread and rolls (they smell so good). Wish them good luck.
We had a cake for my mom's birthday. It was lemon meringue and my entire family ate it. It was very good and we will get another cake from them.
