Chillies - North Somerset

Over priced and very average food. Chicken had clearly been precooked and sauce was not great. There are better supermarket curries than this.

3 of us had a takeaway. Every dish ranged from poor to downright terrible. All was greasy. I wonder whether the vegetarian dishes had been cooked in the same oil as the non-veg. The sag paneer was inedible. Although it is marked as Sag Paneer on the menu it was cooked with a cheese other than paneer. On looking at the menu prior to writing this review it says that it uses Cheddar cheese, We had not seen this. It was therefore certainly NOT sag paneer and should not have been called that on the menu. Had we eaten at the restaurant all dishes would have been returned.

The food at this restaurant was alright, but the prices were exorbitant. We have been dining in the area for over 20 years and decided to try Chilli's for the first time last night. We were shocked by the prices, with a mixed starter costing just under £10, nearly double the price at other restaurants in the area. Even a quick Google search showed that prices at Chilli's were much higher than in Mayfair. We ended up spending £32 on one drink, a starter, a main dish, and a shared naan, without rice. The service was also lacking in friendliness, with our server seeming quite miserable. We decided to leave and go to a pub instead, as we couldn't justify spending any more money at Chilli's. The prices were just too high compared to other places in the area. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to Chilli's.

This Indian restaurant is the priciest in the area. The server's demeanor reminded me more of a funeral director. I don't plan on returning.

Although the food and portion sizes were good, it was the most expensive Indian meal and drinks we had have ever had and We eat out every Wednesday in towns and cities around the area and mostly Indian cuisine. We have done this for last 20 years now. It was definitely not value for money and was made an Even Worse night by grumpy staff and no other customers in the restaurant at all (probably couldn’t afford to eat there) a lot of the stuff on the menu was literally double price of other restaurants we’ve eaten in ! And the menu posted on here is not the Right one too before you compare.
