I had the full English and the sausages were the best butches choice, lovely bacon and eggs and a great cup of tea. Just perfect! Kids had wraps and loved them followed by an awesome milkshake. Why go elsewhere when this is here, I'm reluctant to review any further just on the basis it could become busy
Run in a very personal manner it is a pleasure to eat here. Place is spotless and food is excellent. Menu is good. Went last year for Christmas Dinner and was blown away by the quality of the food and its presentation at a very reasonable price. Great value for money.!!
Take away prices have been steadily increasing since it was taken over. Today I got a ham salad on a small brown cob. Ham was thing and wet and the salad consisted of a small piece of lettuce, a thin slice of tomato with the stalk in it and a piece of cucumber and that costs an extra 50 pence on top of the £2.20. I have used this place for around 10 years but this last 12 months or so it has changed on the take away side a great deal. Time for a change, very disapointed
Had breakfast with a friend today and thoroughly enjoyed the full English especially the tasty mushrooms and black pudding. Very reasonably priced, friendly staff in a clean fresh looking cafe. Can definitely recommend it. Only improvement I can suggest would be to have the option of meatier sausages with a menu price increase.
My wife and I had breakfast at Gilly's, now AJ's, and it was fantastic. I ordered the full English with mushrooms and black pudding, while my wife opted for the full English with hash browns instead of sausage. The breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive, and the restaurant was very clean with an open kitchen. We had a great experience at AJ's and would definitely recommend it.
