Great space with friendly staff, perfect for events

Went to this pub for a birthday party! What a day it was, the lodge is the perfect location for really any event… highly recommend Added bonus, the staff are so friendly, will be back!

This pub is a real TARDIS , it looks small from the front, but has some new additions and a large seating space out the back, meaning there 's plenty of space. They had an excellent selection of well kept real ales, priced at between £4.00 £4.20 a pint- unheard of if you 're from the south! The staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. Well worth a visit if you 're staying in the town at the local conference centre hotel.

Excellent pub from the moment we went in for drinks we felt welcome and seemed as if we were regulars, could not fault them. If you want a friendly welcoming pub go to the Red Lion you will not be disappointed, well done to all the staff.
