Food was really tasty too and freshly prepared . Would really love to see the place do well as really genuine people there . However , service can be a bit hit and miss as it’s a huge place and with only a couple of waiting service even though it wasn’t busy , standards could easily fall and it did a bit that Friday afternoon . In my humble view , I honestly would suggest that they have table numbers and allow people to go up to a general counter and order their food . That way , you can keep the waiting staff free to bring the food to patrons and ensure that they are looked after well . They don’t have to have the added responsibility of going from table to table to take orders as well . All the best to you guys at Tai Pan and May you thrive and prosper . Best wishes , Ken , Dilani and Sumi
Was a friendly environment, very relaxed and food was very good. My friend and I enjoyed the experience
The food was incredible and very reasonably priced! great job
Food is really good but the problem is the serving time. We went for lunch and there's nobody else in the dining area but our group. It took over 1 hour to serve the dishes. I am not sure I could recommend dining on a busy day/night. Staff are friendly, nevertheless. Bonus that the restaurant is pet-friendly.
We had some issues with the service. Cold beverages ordered were brought out hot, a foreign object on food and a beef rendang was brought out without the rice which arrived after we had finished eating once it was flagged . The food tasted great but we were told that they were busy with the set menu orders downstairs. I feel that not enough was done to compensate for the poor service but the staff were apologetic and nice about it. I will probably come again as I am a local and I understand you had a busy night but my guests, one of which is half Malay will not I'm afraid. Thanks
