Any hint of extra chewiness was compensated by the flavour. I have never been so satisfied by a seafood meal. I was very disappointed when they took the empty squid plate away, I would have licked the leftover squid crumbs off the floor. someone proceeded to order bok choy which was a thoroughly disappointing yet healthier sequel. the chinese tea is also quite good but not as good as the squid. please consider adding a squid flavour tea to your menu.
Been a while since I've been back here, but glad to come back again recently. Restaurant looks nice and modern, and menu certainly has a good variety. Dishes we enjoyed:<br/ Golden Pumpkin with the sweetness of the pumpkin paired with a nice salted egg yolk batter, and fried till golden crispy, oh my, that was a real treat!<br/ Salt Pepper White Bait light and crispy<br/ Steamed Tofu with Prawn Paste simple but tasty<br/ <br/ We also had the Egg White Crab meat with Broccoli. Not the best looking one we've had in town and we would have preferred to break the egg yolk ourselves, but nonetheless, flavours were good and we still enjoyed the dish. Surprisingly, the simple and plain looking Egg Fried Rice was really delicious, single grainy and light. <br/ <br/ The least impressive dish was the Fried Mantou. It was a little too doughy and dense to our liking.<br/ <br/ Service was friendly and food was served promptly. Prices are also reasonable for most dishes. Will be back again.
I've been going up Billy Lee's since my uni days. Even are its change of ownership, they have consistently provided great food and prompt services. Their garlic steamed chicken is a must-try!<br/ <br/
My new favourite place!!If you want to try something that will leave you mesmerised, please try the sizzling Japanese tofu. I've never had such an amazing textured dish!! Silky soft tofu warm and gooey, feels like you die and go to heaven!! Also had the char kway teow, it's my fav noodle dish, was good but missing the traditional charred taste. I would come here again and again just to have the tofu
Decided to come here for a late snack and ordered a couple of bowls of porridge. The pork with preserved vegetable porridge was really good and one of the best I've had. The other one we got was the century egg porridge which was good but needed a tiny bit more seasoning. <br/ <br/ Deep fried Chinese donuts complemented our porridge as it's eaten in Hong Kong.
