We were initially hesitant when we decided to dine here, but the food turned out to be absolutely delicious. The only downside was that it took quite a while for our dishes to be served, but the wait was ultimately worth it. I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian pad Thai that I ordered and can't wait for another chance to dine here again.
Great experience Food is always fresh and the menu is not your run of the mill menu. The owners have made a wonderful task to create a bistro style atmosphere that in the summer months it can be VERY...busy. Reservations are available for the indoor restaurant. We were several times, never disappointed. Wine/beer available great desserts.
I last visited Marydale's in March 2017 and had a great experience. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed a quiet lunch at a cozy table. The service was good, and there were other guests in the restaurant. A kind man at the table next to me participated in a Pay It Forward gesture and bought my lunch, for which I was very grateful. I can't remember where he said he was from, but I still fondly remember Marydale's delicious Pommes and I'm curious to see if they taste the same at the new location. They always reminded me of the chip wagon Pommes in Owen Sound - very similar!
I never write comments on Trip Advisor because I don't really care, but I had to warn customers about this traumatic experience. We're four girls who never had to leave a restaurant, but this time it was as terrible as we were treated that... we had to go. My friend went to ask the waitress if it was normal that she really didn't have a lot of kitchen in her panini (she's not the complaining way, but she had like 3 small pieces of chicken in a normal size panini... that should be a chicken pesto panini (so the chicken was the main ingredient Lol . She wasn't mad, she just asked nice. The waitress took her plate from her hands, threw it in the chicken and said to my friend: “If you are not happy, it simply does not eat.” Then the cook and the owner of the place came to our table from all over the restaurant and spoke in a truly confronting way: “Who is the one who complains about my food?????” I swear he was scary. He cried on us without mask, really close to us, spit over our plates (it is COVID period). He was so mad, he insulted us. He invited us to go, he didn't care if we didn't pay, he preferred to win his argument. We've never been treated in a restaurant. This is not a way to treat customers. Never! Food was not worth the bad service and the traumatic experience. We landed on the street at Rachel and the service is really good!
Server told me my order for my family would be ready in 20 minutes, an hour later , still no food, when we finally got it, the order was wrong, the owner was extremely rude and didn’t even offer to get our order done properly....never..never...again, no thanks..
