As always, very nice food, excellent service and was not rushed.
I just dived for a café and a piece of red velvet cake (which I had two years ago), but it seemed that they had nothing of it. In the end I left myself for a latte and a piece of Tarte au citron, both really nice. My only complaint is that the price is somewhat steep for what they are. The waitress was really nice to help me choose, and the atmosphere was just as big, with smooth songs that stroke our ears.
Afternoon tea. No good choice. Only two sandwich fillings offered, and we both had to have the same, could not have each of the two types. Four slices of cake, two, not bad, but not the best. Tea pots served before eating, so went cold through the time we had finished eating, and offered no tip after eating. Overpriced at 25 pounds.
Very disappointing, considering this is not the first visit of ours to this usually very good restaurant. Service was very slow, but ultimately friendly when we it arrived to take our order. Portion size was terrible, very small. My partner ordered mussels and when her food arrived, there were 10 in the dish (we counted). She was starving after eating her main, and it only came with a small portion of fries on the side. Again, service did not remove our empty plates for an unacceptable time. We paid the bill, left no tip and went to a different restaurant for dessert. This would have been a one star review but we have been before and it's been excellent, so do still consider it. It hasn't put us off, but we won't order mussels again.
