Golden City - Norwich

Lived here 10 years, best chinese I've ever had. always polite, fast and the food is never cold. moved away for a couple of years and would even tell people there how good this place was. was absolutely beside myself when I moved back and ordered from them again. still the great same food, service and value for money (I've never seen so much rice crammed into a tub!!

The Chinese food at this restaurant is top-notch - fresh, tasty, and hot. I have tried many Chinese restaurants in Norwich, but this one always comes out on top. The service is amazing and the overall dining experience is enjoyable.

The food at this restaurant is absolutely incredible! There are not many places in Norwich that I will go to, but this one is fantastic. The service is great as well, and I will definitely be ordering again. Thank you!

This is probably one of the best takeout restaurants I have tried, even though I am not a local. Whenever I visit my mother, I always look forward to their vegetarian dishes. Many Chinese takeout places do not offer good or creative vegetarian options, but this one is exceptional. I always order the fried tofu with curry sauce, which is not greasy at all. Even though it is listed on the menu with a different sauce, they are happy to accommodate my request to change it. The dish is absolutely delicious, with a variety of vegetables included. The tofu is light and chunky, not at all bland, and the curry sauce is very tasty and thick. My mother has tried various chicken dishes which she says are delicious, and the chicken balls are huge. The food is always delivered on time, hot and fresh. Thank you Golden City for your excellent service, I will definitely be ordering from you again when I visit Norwich tomorrow – I can't wait!

Whilst staying in Horning for a week, we decided on a Chinese/Thai takeaway. We initially looked at the reviews and decided to go to the ThaiWay in Hoveton. The negative reviews for the Golden City turned us off However, tonight we decided to support the Golden City. It was AMAZING. We had to wait a long time for it to be made, but isn't that a sign of a busy Chinese well respected by the locals. Excellent meal, don't be put off by the negative ones.
