The dips were brilliant, if pricy but the barbecue platters were more awkward to share and not quite up to the standard of our first visit. That being said the food was still very nice and we would come again. We felt very welcome by the friendly staff.
This was our first time at Tabla and we were so pleased to have discovered it. Friendly and helpful staff, great decor and music to create the ambience, lots of happy sounding families to give it a homely atmosphere and best of all the food was delicious, generous portions too. We'll certainly be back.
There’s nothing else like this place in the Eastern suburbs. We have dined at Tabla a few times and each time the food and service have been outstanding. They have made some recent changes to their interior so their ambience has improved quite a bit. Standouts were the dip trio and TFC “mezza”, and the kofta sheesh and lamb ribs. Cocktails were delicious as always the elderflower g&t was excellent. My partner loved the lebanese Almaza beer.
Food was a little bland. Waitresses were very nice and drinks were good.
This seems like a local restaurant that people in the area go to as their 'usual '. Service is quick, food is tasty. Nothing too complex but very well done. Quite a few families were in attendance with young kids, but there 's enough sound absorption in the room that it never felt excessively noisy. I will definitely return.
