Hecho En Oak Park

We’ve had two wonderful takeout experiences here. We attended a birthday party catered by Hecho, and it was so delicious that we decided to order from them again tonight. The portions of their tacos are enormous. What stood out the most was Leslie, the bartender who helped us during pick-up. We arrived early, and she quickly got our order ready. I had ordered a mezcal margarita to go, and when we got home, Leslie called us to let us know that she had mistakenly added tequila instead of mezcal. That was very thoughtful of her, and the drink was still amazing! It had freshly squeezed juice and wasn’t too sweet. Thanks, Hecho!

Absolutely outstanding! The menu offers great value, and the food is exceptional. Our waitress was very friendly, and the flavor combinations were thoughtful and balanced—featuring sweet grilled pineapple, creamy avocado, and spicy, tangy hibiscus flower all wrapped in a homemade tortilla. I will definitely be returning and can't wait to explore more of their offerings!

I stopped by to grab some tacos on a quiet Saturday afternoon, and there was only one group of three people dining in at the time. We ordered six tacos, and to my surprise, they arrived incredibly quickly. However, despite the fast service, the food was served ice cold. I informed our waiter about the issue, and he assured me he would speak with a manager. After waiting for a while to hear back, he returned simply to ask if we were ready for the bill. The flavor of the tacos was quite good, but the cold temperature made it seem like they weren't freshly prepared.

Stopped in unexpectedly during a tornado warning and storm. So happy we did! Yummy tacos, quick and friendly service. Good drinks, the Hecho Margaritas were just what we needed. Server had good recommendations (get the pastor tacos! . Pescado andshrimp were also good. Will definitely be coming back.

First time at Hecho en Oak Park and stooped in for their highly recommended margaritas... Space feels like a small cantina with a handful of tables and bar area. Margaritas are priced accordingly with four flavors to choose from as well as two specialtymargaritas. We ordered strawberry and pineapple, cucumber and a mezcalucha. They are tasty and refreshing. Mezcalucha smokey andstrong. Caught a Mexican flan (Natilla) for dessert, definitely for the sweet tooth in all. Place was good, seemed a bit shortstaffed in a Monday.
