After 35 years, we decided to revisit Petersen's for some nostalgia. It was bustling with people enjoying their ice cream. I ordered the two-scoop Turtle Sundae, while my daughter chose a waffle cone filled with Peach ice cream. I noticed someone else had a banana split that looked delicious. The prices can be a bit steep; my take-out Turtle Sundae was $7.50. There's parking available along half the street, and there are also tables outside where you can relax and enjoy your treats. It's definitely worth making the trip there every now and then. And by the way, they offer a wide variety of flavors!
I haven't visited this restaurant in years. I stopped by around 2 PM and was greeted by a rather crabby older woman at the counter. I ordered a shake and intended to enjoy it there, but I decided to take it to go instead. I really miss the charm of the old dining room area. Overall, the place just doesn’t have the same appeal as it used to. I would consider going back, but I wouldn’t make a special trip for it.
Fantastic restaurant! I absolutely loved the ice cream; it was rich and flavorful. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I tried the mint chocolate chip flavor, and it was delicious. I can't wait to return soon!
This is a straightforward restaurant with outdoor seating that provides shade in the afternoon. I had a single turtle sundae for $6.55, and I have to say, the ingredients were truly delightful. Even though I'm not a big fan of pecans, these might be the best I've ever had! They were perfectly roasted, had a great texture, and were just the right amount of sweetness. The hot fudge was excellent too!
