Q-bbq Oak Park

No idea how this place isn’t a 4.5 !This isn’t pitching itself as some fancy sit down spot, and as such should be judgedNever had a bad meal here, and unsure I’ve ever even had a bad dishNothing “blows your mind” except maybe the hush puppies lol) but everything is solid, and more importantly incredible valueI can pickup the LilQ platter an extra widen here and feed a family of 3 twice for $30!?No where else in Oak Park that isn’t Jerusalem Grill or straight up fast food is providing this level of service and valueTacos are great, the brisket and burnt ends are solid, and love almost every side we have tried, can’t go wrong at Q!

The ribs had a chewy caramelization which begged to be nibbled to the bone. The sauces were prototypical sweet, hot and Carolina good enough I wanted to eat them plain. Our server knew his stuff and the food came out super fast. Sat under a shady tree on the sidewalk on a beautiful day. Could not ask for more!

The best Barbecue meat we ate during our trip to Chicago.Everything was super good and the owner or the employee of the day on site was very competent in explaining his various dishes to newbies.

Visited Q-BBQ with high hopes for a delicious BBQ meal, but unfortunately, I left quite disappointed. I opted for a combo meat plate to sample a variety of their offerings. I will commend them on their ribs, which were good. However, the other meats left much to be desired. The pulled pork, burnt ends, and brisket were frankly horrible. Each was so unappealing that after just one taste, I couldn't ⁸g myself to finish any of them. My wife chose the one meat dinner and ended up only eating her side dish, as the burnt ends were also inedible for her. We were both looking forward to a great BBQ experience and it's unfortunate that it didn't live up to our expectations.

I come here once a week for date night, I see they host concerts here at times. I would love to bring my lights and sound here and set up concerts for them this summer. It would be great and easy to put up fliers around town in the local record shops and others.
