Technically Coyote Tacos run buy members of one of the original families of the Picayune Rancheria of Chukchansi Indians. Amazing Tacos made on Indian Fry Bread. They also sell preserves made with locally grown berries. Right off of Hiway 41 if you are heading towards Yosemite National Park. You will be glad you stopped by.
Authentic native tacos that are delicious. Not only do I love the tacos but I love supporting local small businesses belonging to the indigenous people.
We stopped here on our way out of the Oakhurst area before a long drive home, and I'm glad we did! The fry bread base of these tacos was so delicious, and the toppings were fresh and tasty. We sat at one of the picnic benches out front and enjoyed the gorgeous view. We also ordered a chocolate fry bread (not pictured) to eat in the car, and it was perfectly crisp, chewy, chocolatey, with a balanced sweetness. YUM. All of the employees were incredibly kind and welcoming. I would stop here again anytime we pass through town.
We saw a sign and followed it. So glad we did, we found delicious tacos and super friendly people. We will be going back for more. Get some, it's worth the drive.
