Kitchen Story - Oakland

Overpriced and overrated. Portions are large, but food is not very good. I’ve been a few times in groups and once on my own. OJ is $6 for a very small glass and it’s not fresh. Their “millionaires bacon” is $12 for two strips. Pancakes are below average in taste. Coffee was not good. Eggs have been served cold twice. Not bad, just not not good. 3/5.

The food was delicious and everyone loved the millionaire bacon. It was perfect for the occasion. The wait wasn't very long for a Saturday morning.

Must try the Jjapaguri!! I’ve tried several of their dishes and you really can’t go wrong, everything is delicious! I would recommend adding yourself to their waitlist on the Yelp app in advance and check out the neighboring business and shops while you wait!

Huge portions! I had deep fried french toast with scrambled eggs and millionaire bacon on the side. My partner had the lemon ricotta pancakes and a mimosa. Our bill was almost $70! Cute restaurant but uncomfortably toasty inside in the summer. They do offer outdoor/patio dining. Service was great, we were served quickly and checked on appropriately.

Service is a bit slow and of course depends on how busy it is.Ambient is nice if you have a chance to sit outside. And yes there is outside sitting.Food is certainly OK and nothing survival and not sure why this place is very pricy for a brunch place. Yes I get it all about inflation and pandemic but prices here are beyond justification given high no of customers turn over. Simply over rated.
