This hidden gem is a real discovery in East Oakland, located on the corner of 99th and Macarthur. A family-run restaurant serving delicious Mexican cuisine, with hand-made tortillas that are worth the visit alone. The food was tasty and had a homemade touch to it. The atmosphere truly transported you to a traditional eatery in Mexico, with rustic and colorful decor. While the restaurant closes at 6:00 pm, it may stay open later if there are more customers in the area. The signboard may be misleading, as the name still reads Taqueria de Maria from the previous owners.
The restaurant itself is fantastic, but unfortunately, the website associated with it is a scam site that is not connected to the restaurant at all. Despite multiple requests from the restaurant, Google has failed to remove the fake website. Why is Google allowing thieves to be promoted like this?!
