A hidden jewel in ?mountains?! To the point French inspired cuisine, all prepared with love and delicious! Big deviled eggs and escargot, net are big and tasty. Remember to get bread is that you order mussels, diving is mouthwater!
I really wanted to have a great meal here and had planned dinner with my mother for a while as we both enjoy French cuisine. I have food poisoning. I could taste something, was 'off' in the chicken filled with crabs and taste it out in my napkin. Some of them went down and I was about 24 hours uneasy.. I will say that when I communicated what happened to our server, it was very gracious and told the kitchen what happened immediately. Kitchens can be very cautious with seafood and poultry, but it really takes only very mild pollution or slightly underboiled to cause disease. I'm not sure I'm returning because the experience has really left a bad taste in my mouth.
Now this restaurant was so amazing. Every dish we ordered had so much flavor. It was my first time having bausoleil oysters and they were delicious, along with the sauces. The deviled eggs with the fried oyster and the salmon toast are a must have. Our grand finally was the fromage blanc, truffles and fennel raviolis.
Celebrated a very special milestone birthday of my partner's at this marvelous establishment, which honestly made the event that much better. Happy to have had been both recommended and invited to dine here by family who had raved about it. And for all the accolades given, Perle was not undersold in its excellence in attention to cuisine and wines. Just East enough away from the bustle of San Francisco, and shy, below the beautiful wine valleys of California, Perle Wine Bar is nestled cozily on a quiet posh street in Oakland. We dined one Thursday evening on the 25th of March 2021 to an a la-carte array befitting a tasting menu of much from what Perle has to offer. Bravo to the chef and kitchen as well as to the front of house and service staff for such a marvelous meal and such a wonderful experience which will keep our memories of our little celebration reminiscing your restaurant in equal favour.
