The Terrace Room At The Lake Merritt

We had our wedding ceremony and lunch reception at the Terrace Room and we were extremely pleased with the outcome. We chose the Madison room for our party size and budget and opted for table service for food. During the planning process, Candi and Byron provided helpful advice on layouts and food options, and the booking process was easy. We were able to schedule onsite meetings and tours, which helped us visualize the space accurately. The staff worked closely with us and our coordinators to ensure everything was aligned for the day. The portion sizes exceeded our expectations and were a great value for the cost. Guests could choose from beef, fish, or vegetarian options and the lunch service ran smoothly. The staff were attentive and the service of all items, from snacks to champagne, went according to plan. The transitions between set up, the ceremony, lunch reception, and clean up were seamless. The space is beautiful, with guests enjoying the interior design details and the stunning view of Lake Merritt through the windows. The atmosphere of the venue felt elegant and intimate, yet bright and lively with natural sunlight streaming in through the windows. Every interaction with the staff was friendly and their organization was highly appreciated. It was a memorable and perfect day at the Terrace Room.

The kitchen was very slow. It took 45 minutes from the time we ordered to deliver the meal. And nobody compensated us with a free drink or a pre-meal bite. This time in the kitchen time management disappointed.
