Oakura Fish Shop

I ordered the fish and chips (gurnard) and found the fish to be tender and flaky with a great flavor. Next time, I will ask for the chips to be cooked a bit longer for extra crispiness. This restaurant is a solid choice for takeaway, and the menu offers a nice variety of options that I look forward to exploring further. There’s limited indoor seating, but there are a few picnic tables outside for dining al fresco.

I wasn't very impressed with the power fritters; they didn't match the description. Honestly, the taste was disappointing. However, the rest of the meal was absolutely divine!

On point again last night. We get takeaways once a week and are happy to drive the 25 mins to oakura instead of opunake and okato (our locals) Your food is always at a great standard, always value for your money and always a pleasure coming into the store. Damn we got more chips in 2 scoops than we did for $14 in opunake

Best fish and chips in the area! The oil is clean and well-drained, and the batter is perfect. The burgers are huge and made with quality ingredients, all at a reasonable price. I have nothing negative to say. We make a special trip just to enjoy it!
