La Catrina - OAXACA DE JUÁREZ

We had an excellent stay in this jewel of a hotel, in the heart of the historic centre of Oaxaca. The location is not to beat, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. My mother and I felt like we were in the best hands.... The continental breakfast was delicious, and our room was clean and comfortable. The hotel arranged transportation to and from the airport as well as our Kovid tests, all at a very reasonable price. We can't wait to stay here!

And many variety, including many Oaxaca specialties. Eggs cooked to order, fresh pressed juice and fruit plates. It also has a good lunch.

We had lunch while we waited for our room to be prepared and nothing was especially or well prepared. The service was met or dismissed. Many better places in Oaxaca.

Much more creative than most restaurants in Oaxaca. We stopped by for lunch on New Year's Eve, and the experience was so good we made a reservation for a late dinner that night. We just had to try more things on the menu. Moles were...some of the best we had on our trip subtle and complex. We even risked having salads, after being assured the ingredients had been disinfected. No problems! Excellent service.

This is not the typical food you would get from a Oaxacan grandma, but it is very good. They use the same ingredients, add some new, and make new creations. I was afraid to try, because sometimes this adventures fail. But we liked it a...lot. The place has a beautiful decoration and great ambiance.
