The Island Mermaid - Ocean Beach

This place was fantastic. Food, service, great. Hostess Victoria Wisdom is a goddess. Entertainment by Miss Caitlin Bell, accompanied by Andy was Rocking , everyone was up and shaking it. Appearance by the next Miss New York State, Miss Jessica Lynn was over the top. I think it was a good experience.

My favorate on Fire Island. Outstanding view. Always a terrific meal. Broad menu. Excellent crew. Checks all the boxes. You're cheating yourself if you haven't experienced this jewel!!

Best burger I've ever had. The pomegranate martini was delicious.

Island Mermaid is a great place for waterfront dining, especially when it’s not too busy. We had a light lunch of crab bisque, a spinach and goat cheese salad with shrimp, and the Mezza Plate with hummus, tzitziki and roasted veggies. All were delicious and the service was fast and friendly. A must stop for Fire Island!

This restaurant has consistently wonderful food and drinks. The linguine and the scallops are two of my favorite dishes The staff is always welcoming. The owner Scott is always in the dinning room doing quality control. Cant wait yo go back
