Ihop - Oceanside

I was in a bit of a rush this morning and couldn’t make it to my usual breakfast spot, so I decided to stop at the IHOP on Oceanside Blvd from the 5. It turned out to be a big mistake. I put my name down on the waiting list, but the hostess seated four groups that arrived after me before I got a table. Once I sat down, it took forever for my server to take my drink order, and then it was another 15 minutes before she took my food order (which included eggs, bacon, and pancakes). After that, 15 more minutes went by, and the waitress informed me that the kitchen was backed up. I couldn’t believe it! I arrived at 8:38, and by now it was 9:15, and I still hadn’t received anything to eat. The place wasn’t even full! Finally, my eggs arrived, but I had to wait another 10 minutes for my pancakes. I definitely won’t be coming back here.

Sit short, wait for our waitress and sit 15 minutes before she even came to us. the people who sat after us received their drinks before our waitress even arrived. I just wish our waitress was a little hesitant.

The food was okay, but the fruit wasn't fresh, which resulted in a bitter taste and bland waffles. They did offer to replace the dish free of charge, even though it wasn't one of the four options available at the restaurant. This made my selection very disappointing.

I visited this restaurant in the summer of 2019 (either late June or early July) and had an excellent breakfast. I enjoyed an omelette, pancakes, bacon, and sausage, all of which were delicious! The server, whose name I can’t recall, was very friendly and attentive to all of my needs. She was also professional in appearance and quite beautiful. Overall, it was one of the best breakfast experiences I have ever had.

Got here at 11:30 on a Wednesday was told it'd be a 5 minute wait. Not because they're busy but because there's only two servers. If they make us wait 5 min just to sit when there are plenty of open tables in the restaurant I can only imagine the pace of the service. We just left to go eat Denny's lol
