Los Amigos - Oceanside

So unprofessional. When I realized that the cook/cashier was talking to a woman outside. There was no other person inside! He didn't tell me. Left to another Mexican food place on the street! Sooo rude!

We stopped there on our way home for dinner, and I ordered an Al Pastor Torta, which turned out to be quite disappointing. The meat resembled red Asada and didn't have the traditional flavor of al pastor at all. The bread was soggy and drenched, making the torta unenjoyable. We also ordered a carne asada burrito with shrimp, and it was equally disappointing; the shrimp weren't fully cooked. The green salsa looked more like aguachiles broth—very watered down and not worth the money at all!

I just had the best cheese enchiladas in a while here the sauce was on point. I had my go to place in Oceanside but now I will I'll be going back here for my enchilada and chilaquile cravings! Thanks to Julio and Najhmi!

My friend and I sell steak, seafood and chicken off a truck, along the way we hit every greasy spoon, dive bar and funky habidashery; I annoying sharing them with you. Los Amigos is located in the Albertsons parking lot next to Brother Benos thrift store. There is ample well lit parking. It has limited seating and does brisk business. Listening to the other tables I surmised I was the only first time customer, they have a base of return customers no doubt and it is easy to see why. The store is spotlessly clean, painted a mix of festive red and orange and very comfortable. The owner Julio has been at this location for seven years and recently opened a second store at 2011 Mission. He was friendly, when I asked what their specialty was he said "everything, I will need to return to savor their other dishes. I had the carne asada super burrito, it was a tad over ten bucks and was two full meals. (After eating half I had to he for a nap) The burrito was absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed every aspect of my meal. Thank you Julio, I will defiantly return.

The beef taco is outstanding, and the chile relleno is fantastic as well. Recently, they prepared rice and beans for a potluck, and everyone absolutely loved them!
