I started with carpaccio by thunfisch and my wife gnocci. followed by filet of pork and tinted repectively. all were very good and washed out with mas de chimere blanc. they will not repent
We have a house over the street of this restaurant for weeks in April-May in these weeks we had dinner in la calade four times! the food is great. fresh, qualitatiw high quality ingredients simple and well prepared and served by the most delightful people. the menus (a large selection of appetizers, main courses and desserts in each menu were very good. everything we ate was consistently a joy of eye and taste buds. that is not a formal place, and the people from the opposite were happy to eat here too. we tend to save the food when we have vacation in france for an occasional calade, but la calade and the beautiful couple who own the restaurant and hotel makes it a more than weekly event. highly recommended.
We stayed in this hotel/restaurant en route and we're all very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were quite basic but clean and comfortable. We had dinner there that evening and had a beautiful meal of foie gras, steak, cheese and I ended with panna cotta. Wine...was good too. Throughly enjoyable. I would think if you like walking this would be a great place to stop.
In the middle of the beautiful and interesting landscape there is this little family restaurant (with hotel). After a bad adventure we come here desperate and. ..wow! Menù very interesting with traditional and original cuisine. Good price for excellent cooking. A nice wine menù with...attention to local product. Very kind persons, the chef cook also croissant and marmelades for breakfast and the others are nice and educate .
Small wine selection, very average food quality, poor desserts. We just ordered a starter, meal and dessert and the entire process was hours. Menu choices were odd, food seemed randomly put together without any sense. Very slow service, not very engaging. You are somewhat...separated from the village in a sunken walled area. Hotel guests coming in and out. We saw lots of kids getting prepackaged ice cream for dessert. We did not find charming. Would not return or recommend.
