Madhimlen - Odder

Mildest talt uheldig oplevelse. Vi var der i lørdags d. 3.8.24 i forlængelse af Priden i Hamborg (vi ikke vidste fandt sted). Vi blev mødt af hvad der umiddelbart virkede som en fuld/skæv og meget intimiderende mand, der stillede sig helt op i ansigtet på os. Vi tænkte det blot var en Pride deltager, der glemte at han skulle være gået med optoget mod centrum, det viste sig at være en tjener. I løbet af de to timer vi var der, blev vi glemt to gange, vores drikkevarer kom 15 min efter maden, det vil sige dem de havde husket. Da vi bad om de resterende, kom de med noget vi ikke havde bestilt. Som prikken over i'et mødte min kæreste føromtalte tjener på toilettet, hvor han også besørgede, hvorefter han gik fra pissoiret uden at vaske hænder og fortsatte sine serveringer.

Great birthday party had a nice afternoon in the restaurant's tent with delicious lunch buffet and good wines. Local produce, relaxing atmosphere and welcoming staff can highly recommend the place!

Small restaurant with super cozy atmosphere, we chose different dishes from the map and all were super satisfied with the food! Very good experience, and absolutely a place to visit.

Were there with my wife. Go there yorselves and be impressed. A small plays, not easy to find, but worth every minus it took. High quality food, service experience.

Good restaurants in the area are few and far between, so this place really is a gem. That said, it is of a really good standard and I cannot fault either the food or the service. On ordering the set menu, I told the waitress that I would pass on the starter due to an allergy to lobster bisque, to which she went to the kitchen and proposed an alternative for me. This is a rarity in Denmark, so I was really surprised and impressed that the waitress herself initiated this. The food was faultless, with seasonal, organic produce. Presentation superb and overall a really fabulous experience. The main restaurant seems that it can be a little busy (quite a small area), but we were sat outside in a marquee area, which was really cosy and preferred this to the main restaurant area. The cost is slightly medium to high-end (if you also take the wine menu), but you get what you pay for and this is very worth it. Would highly recommend and looking forward to my next visit.
