Rickenbacker's Steakhouse - Ogden

We have been going to this restaurant for years, and its been our go to place. However, with the change of management, the place has really become a disappointment. I have read other reviews, and they generally say the same things. It's to bad that the restaurant doesn't take heed to the input from their customers and make some of the suggested changes. The food was still pretty good, but way overpriced. My Spare Rib dinner was tasty, but it was more like a plate. The prime rib was less expensive. The service was very slow, but polite. The view is a favorite. The menu really leaves ALLOT to be desired, as it is very limited and most of the old favorites are no longer on the menu. No more Kabobs, Steak pasta or other favorites. Clearly not our go to place in the future unless they can somehow take into consideration the input given from their customers in not only this format, but other reviews as well. Too bad. Another place in Ogden bites the dust. Phil

The service was on point. They were very friendly and helpful. I asked for iced tea and asked if they had sweet tea. The waitress said no but she could put blueberries or raspberries in my tea. They don't serve mash potatoes but she offered to ask the cook if it was okay instead of the baked potato.

I always choose Rickenbackers for special occasions. The food is fantastic, with a wide menu selection and top-notch service.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. We both enjoyed the delicious rib with a baked potato and carrots (orange and purple), Papanip, and Brussels sprouts. However, the potato was not as impressive for the price. It could have been better if it had been coated in oil and kosher salt before baking. It was served with butter and sour cream, although chives would have been a nice addition. The vegetables were flavorful and creative. The main rib was excellent, perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was served with au jus and youthful. Unfortunately, the service from the waitstaff was not up to par for the high price. They were friendly but slow and not very polished.

The food at this restaurant was fantastic. The menu had a great selection of choices. The service was top-notch, although it would have been better if a take-home box was provided immediately upon request for large portions. However, we were happy that at the end of the meal, the waitress boxed up our leftovers and brought us a take-home bag.
